Research cooperation with the Schwabe Group

30.03.2022

The team around Prof. Judith M. Rollinger from the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences (Division of Pharmacognosy) is starting a joint project in cooperation with the Schwabe Group.

The project was successfully submitted within the "Schwabe Phyto Innovation Challenge" and is focused on the analysis of positive effects of herbal extracts and combinations of natural substances on age-related diseases over the next 3 years.

Caenorhabditis elegans, a one-millimetre-long nematode, is used for phenotypic analysis as this model organism is ideal for research into the ageing process.
