Research clusters

The foundation of highly innovative interdisciplinary and translational research projects is supported by the establishment of research clusters between the faculties and centres of the University of Vienna and the Medical University of Vienna. Research clusters are designed to break new ground and to bridge basic research and patient-oriented research (bench-to-bedside).

The University of Vienna and the Medical University of Vienna jointly established research clusters for a duration of up to three years. After an elaborate, two-stage selection process based on international assessments, the following with participation of members of our faculty:
